About this project
Built from the ground up over roughly 2–3 weeks, this backyard deck was designed as a proper outdoor living space — not just a platform off the back door. We handled everything: layout, framing, decking, railings, stairs and finishing, using pressure-treated lumber sized and fastened for Newfoundland's wind, rain and freeze-thaw cycles.
Outcome
A durable, low-maintenance deck the owner can actually live on all summer. Structure, fasteners and railing details were spec'd for the North Atlantic climate, so it stays solid season after season without constant rework.
